Congratulations|Professor Po-Hsuan Hsu Receives the 29th National Chair Professorship in Social Sciences from the Ministry of Education


The Ministry of Education recently announced the recipients of the 29th National Chair Professorships, and Professor Po-Hsuan Hsu from the Department of Quantitative Finance, College of Technology Management, National Tsing Hua University, has been awarded the National Chair Professorship in Social Sciences. This is the highest academic honor conferred by the Ministry of Education, recognizing Professor Hsu's outstanding contributions to academic research, educational advancement, and international collaboration.

The National Chair Professorship is the most prestigious academic award established by the Ministry of Education to honor full-time professors who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in their respective academic or professional fields. Recipients are distinguished scholars who continually excel in research and teaching, enjoy high international reputations, and serve as thought leaders and exemplars in academia. Through this award, the Ministry aims to encourage scholarly innovation, foster university–industry collaboration, and enhance both the academic and societal impact of higher education in Taiwan.

Professor Hsu's research expertise spans Sustainable Economics, Innovation Economics, Entrepreneurship, Asset Pricing, Corporate Finance, and Technology Management. His work integrates theoretical rigor with policy relevance, significantly influencing research and practice in innovation-driven economic growth and financial market development.

Notably, this marks the first time that College of Technology Management  has received the National Chair Professorship in the Social Sciences category. Once again, congratulations to Professor Hsu for bringing great honor to the College of Technology Management and to NTHU through his remarkable academic achievements.
