In September 2025, Professor Po-Hsuan Hsu from the Department of Quantitative Finance, College of Technology Management (CTM), National Tsing Hua University, was appointed as Associate Editor for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department of Management Science. Prior to this, he already served as Associate Editor for the Finance Department of the same journal. In addition, Professor Hsu holds associate editor roles at other top-tier journals, including Research Policy and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA). These appointments not only recognize his long-standing dedication and outstanding contributions to academic research, but also highlight CTM’s growing global influence in management and finance scholarship.
Management Science is widely regarded as one of the most authoritative and influential journals in the field of management. Its scope covers a wide range of management disciplines. The “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” department has long been a leading platform for scholarship on startups, technology management, and innovation strategy, with its published research frequently shaping both theory and practice. Meanwhile, its “Finance” department is a premier outlet for cutting-edge financial research. Research Policy is the leading international journal in innovation and policy studies, exploring the interactions between innovation, technology, and economic, social, political, and organizational processes, with an emphasis on actionable insights for policymakers and practitioners. JFQA is a flagship journal in finance and quantitative analysis, holding a central role in the global finance research community. Appointment to the editorial boards of these three highly selective journals is an extraordinary distinction, underscoring Professor Hsu’s academic stature.
Beyond his editorial leadership, Professor Hsu actively engages with the international research community. He has been invited to present at leading global conferences and has developed extensive collaborative networks with scholars worldwide. He also serves as a research fellow at the Mack Institute for Innovation Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER). Moreover, Professor Hsu has been deeply involved in organizing major international conferences in the fields of innovation economics and sustainable finance, such as the AIEA-NBER Conference, the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Conference (formerly the Darden-Cambridge Judge Conference), the Taiwan Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (37 sessions as of May 2025), and the NTHU-UNSW-SMU Symposium on Sustainable Finance and Economics (10 sessions as of May 2025).
At CTM, faculty are strongly encouraged to pursue excellence not only in research but also in academic service, with robust institutional support to expand their global reach. Professor Hsu’s concurrent appointments to three prestigious editorial boards are both a recognition of his scholarly achievements and a testament to CTM’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international visibility. Looking ahead, CTM aspires to see more of its faculty members extend their influence in their respective fields, further connecting Taiwan to the global academic community and contributing to knowledge creation worldwide.
