The Executive Master of Business Administration Program (EMBA)
Introduction
The EMBA program was initiated in 1999 under the guidance of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management Institute. It was later transferred to the newly formed College of Technology Management in 2001. The formation of the new college symbolized the beginning of a new era where the ability to manage and integrate technology with nature, society, and people becomes the leading economic force governing the success of a nation.
The Hi-tech industry is characterized with fast turnover, short product life cycle, and fierce global competition. The modern technology managers must posses not only the technology know how but management skills and global vision in order to compete and grow. The College of Technology’s EMBA program is designed specifically to satisfy that need by integrating its internal resources in the area of management, finance, information, and law with Tsing Hua University’s strength in science and humanity. Additionally, the program also provides real life interaction and knowledge sharing with executives of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and the Hsinchu Science Park. The unique combination makes it the only EMBA program in Taiwan capable of providing all around learning experience for executives who wishes to excel in their own field.
Future Outlook

- Intra-university collaboration: The EMBA program shall collaborate with other universities within Taiwan to further enhance its course diversity
- International Collaboration: The EMBA program shall jointly sponsor academic symposium with MIT, Berkeley in the US and HEC of France
- Incubation Center: The EMBA program shall form an EMBA Entrepreneur Advisory Board to oversee the development of new companies under the university’s incubation program
- EMBA Executive Seminar: High profile industrialist and academia shall be invited to provide special seminars and classes
