Institute of Technology Management
Specializing in the management of innovation, entrepreneurship and
technology, the Institute of Technology Management (ITM) at National Tsing Hua
University is one of Taiwan’s most prestigious research and teaching institutes.
ITM’s mission is to cultivate the world-class researchers and technology
managers to embrace the knowledge-based economy in the 21st century.
ITM provides only postgraduate education and training. Our flagship MBA program
currently registered 48 students with a multidisciplinary background of
professional expertise and industrial experiences. We also have very successful
international MBA program and executive program, jointly supported by Department
of Economics, Department of Quantitative Finance and Institute of Laws for
Science and Technology. Our doctoral program is initiated from the fall of 2005.
The Institute of Technology Management is now on the way to become a leading
center for research excellence in technology and innovation management in Taiwan
and in Asia. Our faculty specializes in both macro and micro aspects of
technology management. At the macro level, we focus research on intellectual
property right, evolutionary theories of industrial and organizational change,
national systems of innovation, science and technology policy and the social
impact of the Internet. At the micro level, our research specialties cover
entrepreneurship studies, technology marketing, service systems management,
knowledge management, electronic commerce, and management information system.
The subject of our research is diverse, ranging from the computer,
semi-conductor and biotechnology industries to professional service firms, the
financial service and public sector.
