Department of Quantitative Finance
The Quantitative Finance (QF) department aims at breeding financial industry
workforce with mathematical analysis, information technology, and economic
reasoning. With thorough training in math, computing and economics, the
graduates of the QF department are expected to be both highly employable and
ready for advanced studies.
To achieve excellence both in teaching and research, the QF department
strengthens teaching capacity in all areas of finance. The department also
offers applied subjects such as Financial Management, Derivative Security
Markets, Insurance, and Investment Analysis.
The QF department also develops financial researches suitable to the high-tech
environment in the Hsinchu area, such as risk management and financing decisions
of high-tech industry and financial analysis of large scale investment projects.
