Undergraduate Program of Management and Technology (UPMT)
UPMT is a new educational institution promoted by the new University Law to
integrate resources of each college of Tsing Hua University. It is established
to adapt to the diversity of the society and the fast development of science of
technology. UPMT students are educated into multi-field management experts who
possess both engineering specialization and economics backgrounds. Students who
finish the credits required for graduation from UPMT, after grade confirmation,
will be offered a degree including the title of UPMT or the other departments or
programs from which the student completed all required courses. The flexible and
steady double-major course gives students a wide range of choices to choose for
the best according to their ideal, interest, and plan for career.
The first major course is provided by our college. 2006 academic year freshmen
should choose one from “Finance courses” or “Economics courses” and pass all the
courses necessary for graduation. The second major course is optional. Students
can choose professional courses (including the center courses) provided by
departments of each college (College of Management and Technology included).
Different combinations of the first major and second major can make up a variety
of courses and degree. Basically, the first major is Economics or Finance, while
the second is chosen from other colleges in NTHU.
